NetterImages.com Accessibility Statement
Last updated November 2025
NetterImages.com is committed to continuous improvement in accessibility and aligns with broader Elsevier goals and evolving standards. This includes meeting or exceeding W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA and requirements of the European Accessibility Act (EAA) and Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Key areas of focus include keyboard navigation, responsive design, and improved contrast on text and buttons. Alt-text has been implemented, however, we continue to explore best practice for heavily-labeled anatomical images. Beginning with images loaded in 2026 (largely from books copyrighted 2027 and beyond), extended descriptions will be available on individual image pages. We are also actively working on aligning the e-commerce elements of the user experience with the latest EAA standards. The scope of this takes registration elements into consideration. A Voluntary Product Accessibility Template (VPAT) is available here: NetterImages.com VPAT
Netter products are very visual and we look forward to implementing new ways to convey this information as technology allows. If you have suggestions for improving accessibility on NetterIimages.com or would like to report accessibility issues, please contact our Customer Support team at the NetterImages Support Center or reach the Elsevier Digital Accessibility team at [email protected]
